Motor Vehicle Accident with Entrapment

At 7:22 PM on Tuesday November 15, 2022 the Nesconset Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Middle Country Road.

Initial arriving units encountered a two car accident with one of the occupants unable to exit their vehicle due to the damage caused by the collision. Firefighters from Engine 4-4-2 removed the door from the vehicle to allow safe removal of the injured driver from the vehicle. Ambulance 4-4-6B transported the injured to Stony Brook University Hospital. Firefighters from Heavy Rescue 4-4-9 helped secure the vehicles and the scene.

All units operated under the command of Chief Frank Ragona and returned to station at 7:47.
