I don't know if this is the correct venue for remarking as a Nesconset resident but I want to thank you for the wonderful Xmas parade you have given us year after year (28 for us). My children loved it and now I watch the excited neighbor children waiting expectantly. This year was NO DISAPPOINTMENT. It gets better each year. Thanks again for your kindness and for always being there for us in our time of need as well. The DiFalco family

thank you so much for the wonderful time I had on Saturday with my grandchildren. The Magician was great. the cupcakes and cocoa were delicious. Santa still smiled even though my 2 year old granddaughters were a little afraid of him. It was so well organized. Thank you for doing such a wonderful thing for our community.

Hello to my Nesconset FD family,
For those of you that don't know me, I was a member of the Nesconset Fire department back in 1991.
I obviously knew Ross back then and have to say, I did learn a few things from him. He was a very knowledgeable man, and dedicated member to the fire depart. When I think of Ross the one thing comes to mind, him driving the the hell out of 444. He knew how to handle that truck, and every other rig in the fleet.
I would like to extend my condolences to his family and my fellow Nesconset FD family. May he rest in peace, as well as be a Angel to all members of the Nesconset Fire Department. To watch over you all. God Bless !!
Stay Safe to all,
Captain Anthony Gonzalez

I would like express my deepest heartfelt sympathy to the members of the Nesconset FD in this time of mourning. Ross Huffer was a great man who I was blessed to know my entire life as he and his wife Kathy have been very close friends to my parents for over 40 years. I am happy I was able to see him twice in the last few months and even party with him, Kathy, and "the gang" on New Years. I feel your pain with this loss and want you all to know I mourne with you. A great man has been taken way too soon. Thoughts and prayers to all his fellow firefighters, coworkers, friends, colleagues, and of course his family. God speed Ross... Til we meet again.

My late husband Carl A. Rumbolo Jr. was a member of the Nesconset Fire Dept. from 1957 to 1970 when he passed away. It was nice to see pictures of some of his extended family, and father.
