Join Us

The Nesconset Fire Department is always looking for members of our community to join the department. The Nesconset Fire Department serves our community in many different ways: Ambulance Calls, Heavy Rescue Calls, Fire and Carbon Monoxide Calls. To be eligible for membership in the Nesconset Fire Department, you must be in sound physical condition, between the ages of 18 and 55 years old, and reside within the Nesconset Fire District.
Active members of other Fire Departments, who move into the Nesconset Fire District, may still transfer into the Nesconset Fire Department even if they are over 55 years old.

All new members are placed on probation for a period of eighteen months. During that time, training will be your main focus, and such, you are expected to attend all Drills that apply to your position in the Nesconset Fire Department. Our usual dill periods are on Sunday mornings 10 A.M. and Wednesday evenings 7:30 P.M. Here you will be trained by experienced members of our Department on specific techniques and equipment we utilize. You would also need to attend certain meetings normally held on the third Monday of the month.

To Join the Nesconset Fire Department you must read and fill out the following paper work and mail it or drop it off at the Nesconset Fire Department.
